Jazz Jackrabbit HQ - Games - Pre-OEM Screenshots - Flashback       Wow. Just... wow. Since the time of this picture taking, the Diamondus tileset has been almost completely remade. The grass is different, the walls are different, the caves are different, and that tree in the foreground has been completely removed from the tileset. You can download a remake of this tileset here. Here's another look at that old Diamondus, this time with beautiful background mountains which are far superior to the ones in the finished version, and a bush which was removed. The ice effect is the same as in OEM. Textured backgrounds also fade differently. Here's a picture of Battle4 (only Battle1-3 are included with the final version), taken in a slightly incomplete version of Battle. The Roasts count uses small letters, and the Lives icon hasn't been removed yet. Other than that, no obvious differences. This screenshot, however, is really pretty cool. I don't think I need to say much about it. Just look at that speed trail! (And there aren't supposed to be any sparks here.)
