FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

A Catch of Shadows Theater Company and the Alternative Family Education (Home Study) Program are proud to present this fall's production of William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.

This production, the most ambitious yet, showcases the directing talent of Laura Wilson, fresh from a Shakespeare Santa Cruz directors internship on Romeo and Juliet this summer, the sophisticated costume design of Linnaea Wilson and the performing talents of the home study students of A Catch of Shadows Theater Company and the AFE Program in Santa Cruz.

Romeo is played by Daniel Mays and Juliet by Linnaea Wilson. There is a strong supporting cast of students primarily 13 years old and up. Rich costuming, moving performances, sword play, dance, music and complex sets combine to create an accomplished evening of entertainment for the whole family. Come and enjoy the bard with us.

A Catch of Shadows Theater Company was born of the keen interest of several students in creating high quality theatrical student productions. Many of this cast of home school students studied the play of Romeo and Juliet for three months with Judy Reveaux-Wright last spring. They are pursuing an in-depth Shakespeare experience.

All proceeds from this production will go to a scholarship fund to send these students to the Ashland Shakespeare Festival in Oregon in May of 2000 where students will see several productions, attend an acting workshop and explore the Shakespearean stage. Come support these talented students' education in theater arts.

This production is produced by Judy Reveaux-Wright who has years of experience guiding numerous student productions throughout Santa Cruz.

Musical direction comes from Bill Wright who brings his many years of experience as a musician and dedication to bringing the performing arts to students.
